What kids learn from weSPARK...
The children of weSPARK meet weekly for group play. Their group gives them time to be with other kids who are experiencing the same thing: a family member with cancer. On February 25, 2008 our weeSPARK and Tween Kids groups made a list of what they have learned and gained from coming to weSPARK:
- Support
- Friendship
- Comfort
- Good Times
- Escape
- Fun Times
- Confronting problems without the judgement of others
- Learning you are not the only one with a parent with cancer
- Kids talking to Kids
- Express feelings
- Learn about cancer
