Turn the Registration form and your payment method in to the weSPARK Front Desk or directly to Marti in the Special Events office.The deadline for registration through the weSPARK office is Friday, May 1, 2009. After that date you can register at the Run/Ex/09 Expo on May 23 & 24 at the LA Convention or online at www.lamarathon.com. We’ll provide you with t-shirt and bib pick up information following registration.

Each walker/runner will receive an Official LA Marathon T-shirt and a LA Marathon medal when you cross the 5K Finish Line.

We are asking each participant to raise just $100 to support weSPARK’s amazing free programs. That’s just 5 friends donating $20 each! But, of course, if you’d like to raise more, we won’t stop you! And our goal is 150 to 200 walker/runners this first year. Let’s show the other Official Charities how weSPARK does it!

For those who can’t walk, there are all sorts of volunteer opportunities that morning. Please contact Marti if you’d like to help.

The LA Marathon 5K starts and ends in front of Staples Center on Figueroa Street where we will join the approximately 5,000 supporters of the more than 40 Official Charities for the Million Dollar Morning. 5K participants will be in position to watch the 20,000 LA Marathon runners pass by just after the start of the full Marathon at Figueroa & 5th Street. It’s an amazing sight you won’t want to miss!

There will be a weSPARK bus available for transportation downtown. If you are interested in taking the bus please indicate to Marti that you would like to do so.
